Overview

The Operations Improvement Engineer will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams in a production environment.

 

This is a fully onsite position in Hickory, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production data to identify trends, patterns, and inefficiencies; recommend and implement data-driven process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate current processes and drive changes that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Review and compare Bills of Materials (BOM) with assembly drawings and customer directives to ensure alignment and accuracy.
  • Read, interpret, and edit assembly drawings and work instructions to ensure clarity and usability for production teams.
  • Utilize relevant tools and technologies, including CAD/Inventor software, project management software, and product management platforms.
  • Support costing initiatives by providing accurate process data, identifying cost drivers, and recommending cost-reduction strategies.
  • Monitor and measure improvement initiatives to ensure sustained results.
  • Tasks management deems relatable to position

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
  • 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with CAD/Inventor software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of BOM structures within a production environment.
  • Costing experience is highly valued.

Pay Range

USD $75.00 - USD $95.00 /Yr.
