Overview

This position is a multifunctional role performing various tasks necessary to receive, ship, transport and maintain parts/supplies and inventory for the Converting Plant.

Responsibilities

  • Clerical Duties:
  • Ship Confirm sales orders in JD Edwards
  • Prepare bill of ladings and print delivery tickets.
  • Daily LTL shipments.
  • Daily receiving administrative duties.
  • Schedule shipments with Menlo (for Navistar only) and request weekly load numbers.
  • Print loading tallies and delivery tickets as required.
  • Data entry in JD Edwards as required..
  • File shipping and receiving documents.
  • Work directly with Customer Service to assure on time deliveries.
  • Physical Duties: (This position is primarily an office position, but there is some physical expectation)
  • Load/unload trucks/transports, as needed. To include completion of load tallies of BOLs.
  • Safely transport products and supplies to assigned areas.
  • Packaging of product, as needed.
  • Quality inspection of product, as needed (advising mgmt. of any issues)
  • Performs periodic cycle counts and enters into JDE System.
  • Storing receiving material in proper locations.
  • Overtime is required when necessary. Overtime is dependent upon production demands. The starting time or ending time of the shift as well as days of the week working may vary dependent upon overtime requirements.
  • Must be able to make decisions under pressure and work well with others.
  • Must be able to communicate needs or other information to proper people to be sure that work is done.
  • Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
  • Support Management/Front office area and serve as backup for Customer Service Coordinator with various tasks including but not limited to: Inputting customer orders, greeting clients, receiving mail and packages, process invoices and filing.
  • Follows proper safety guidelines. Report injuries, unsafe conditions and hazardous materials to a supervisor/manager immediately.
  • Abide by all HAZMAT regulations regarding transport and storage of chemicals, as needed.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of 6 months prior manufacturing experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Prior forklift certification/experience.
  • Prior Shipping/Receiving and/or Logistics experience preferred.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to become licensed Forklift Operator.
  • Ability to read products tags.
  • Strong communication skills -Ability to communicate inventory information to lead and supervisor.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage time and targets.
  • Work conditions can reach extreme temperate environments.
  • Must have good motor skills, to include vision and hearing.
  • Ability to stand, bend at waist, stretch or reach, and twist frequently.
  • Requires doing repetitive motion with hands/wrist using their computer keyboard.
  • Long periods of sitting, standing and frequent walking involved in the job.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Pay Range

USD $18.25 - USD $18.25 /Hr.
