HSM specializes through its subsidiaries, in the manufacturing of components for furniture, bedding, transportation, packaging, automotive, and healthcare industries. Responsibilities

  • Daily, pull bank and credit card payments details and save backup in an organized way.
  • Contact Customers, Credit Managers, or Customer Service to obtain missing remittances.
  • Research payments to accurately identify correct customers.
  • Post incoming ACH, wire, credit card, and check payments to the correct A/R account.
  • Timely, research misapplied payments as reported.
  • Make proper adjustments in a timely manner.
  • Assist internal and external customers in request associated with cash application.
  • Balance and reconcile daily deposit postings to the Bank reports.
  • Send notices of prepayments and deposits to assigned Sales and Credit team members.
  • Process live checks for receipt at bank
  • Assist with the research of unapplied cash.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two year’s work experience within an AR Cash application environment
  • Experience with JD Edwards
  • Associate degree
  • Self-motivated, process oriented, capable of managing multiple duties.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate degree or High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2+ yrs in accounting related field preferred
  • Prior experience in an Accounts Receivable or Business environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel and PDF software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to set priorities and work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
  • Possess negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
