Overall responsibility for Quality department personnel, production technical support, communication through all organization, customer complaint handling and communications, familiarity of ISO 9001 Quality System and VDA6.3, documents and records controls, CA/PA coordination, knowledge of statistic technique skills, flexibility to work in a team, computer skills of Microsoft Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy and roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and customer requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards in accordance with ISO certification requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee product inspections, testing, and sampling to verify compliance with quality specifications and performance standards.
  • Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and assessments to ensure that raw materials and components meet quality standards.
  • Manage customer feedback and complaints related to product quality, leading investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the development and maintenance of quality management systems, documentation, and certifications.
  • Keep abreast of industry advancements, emerging quality assurance methodologies, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement in quality management practices.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Management and maintenance of QC laboratory.
  • Supervision of QC department personnel, quality and duties performed.
  • Identifies opportunities that best utilize the location’s infrastructure and meet customer requirements.
  • Ensures sufficient capacity is available within the location to carry out the objectives and delivery of products.
  • Reviews all internal and external reporting.
  • Assist in location’s financial and budget activities in order to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
  • Knows and understands all company policies.
  • Motivates, outlines and delegates methods to surpass all company goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in quality assurance are advantageous.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or in a senior quality leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, ISO certification standards, and quality control methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving quality initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in implementing quality control processes and driving quality improvement projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective corrective actions.
