The main function of this job is to help the balers complete their job along with performing preclipper inspector position.

We are a leading supplier of diversified components for the bedding, furniture, and GSA industries. We also produce polyester fiber batting, formed steel wire, flexible polyurethane foam fabrication. • Check and identify that innersprings match the baling ID tag.
• Move bale into staging area using a hand cart.
• Pull bales into staging area for balers to load onto baler.
• Monitor the baler operation to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the baler equipment to keep it in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Sort and feed materials into the baler according to established guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist with other tasks as needed, such as sorting materials, operating additional equipment, complete preclipper inspector roles and responsibilities as requested by supervisor or filling in on baling as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Work closely with VRC operators and ladder makers.
• Interact and work well with baling team.
• Safe operation of all machinery, tools and equipment.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment
• Your supervisor will have the authority to ask you to help with additional job assignments as needed.
Education/Experience:
• High School diploma/GED helpful but not necessary
• At least 6 months of previous manufacturing experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Good attendance. Being on the job daily is key to your success and the companies.

• Innerspring can weigh from 10-100 lbs. each. Must be able to lift up to 200+ lbs. frequently with partner.
• A team of balers usually produces between 60-80 bales in a ten-hour shift.
• Ability to stand, bend at waist, stretch or reach, walk, and twist frequently.
• Excellent eye/hand coordination is essential.
Work Environment:

• May be subject to moderate noise from machines in other departments. Hearing protection is required at all times.
• The temperature in this work area may be in excess of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, during the summer months.
• Work areas are dirty and dusty on a regular basis.
• Bales are under extreme pressure and are extremely dangerous.
• Ensure that ladders are in good condition before using.
