• Operate cutting machines and equipment to accurately cut materials such as foam, fabric, and other components according to specified dimensions and patterns.
• Review work orders and product specifications to understand cutting requirements and ensure correct materials are used.
• Adjust machine settings and calibration as needed to achieve precise cuts and minimize material waste.
• Inspect materials for defects or imperfections, and remove any damaged sections before proceeding with cutting.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage and handling of materials.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth flow of materials and timely availability for production schedules.
• Monitor machine performance and report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team for prompt resolution.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Perform routine maintenance on cutting machines to ensure their proper functioning and longevity.
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency in the cutting process.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or training in cutting operations is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Cutter or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or textiles environment.
• Familiarity with cutting machines and equipment used in foam or fabric processing.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in performing cutting tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications and cutting patterns.
• Strong organizational skills to manage materials efficiently and track cutting tasks.
• Basic understanding of safety practices and protocols in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet production targets.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.
