Overview

Transports foam/fiber or other materials throughout Plant by hand, dolly, cart, or other means. Including loading/unloading of trailers, offloading at end of saw, transporting to glue lines or other area(s) of Plant.

Responsibilities

 

  • Remove foam as it exits CNC’s or Press
  • Loading/Unloading of Trailers
  • Separate usable material from scrap product
  • Transport product from one work station to another depending on process
  • Count, Sort, Label, and Inspect finished goods
  • Inspect product for any quality defects. Notify Supervision and/or Quality Department if any defects are found.
  • Cross-Training on other functions/jobs within department or plant
  • Required to work overtime if needed to meet customer/production requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend information, instructions, and memos.
  • Ability to speak English Preferred.
  • Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math skills including common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to use Calipers and read blueprints preferred.
  • Regularly required to stand, bend at waist, do repetitive motion and grip tools and objects stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Occasionally kneel, regularly walk, twist, and crouch.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to over 40 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Employee is frequently required to work alone.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection is available but not required.
