Overall responsibility for Quality department personnel, production technical support, communication through all organization, customer complaint handling and communications, rod material quality evaluation and vendor communications, experience of heat treatment and hard drawing, familiarity of ISO 9001 Quality System, documents and records controls, CA/PA coordination, knowledge of statistic technique skills, flexibility to work in a team, computer skills of Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Management and maintenance of QC laboratory.
  • Management of Quality Control for Wire Technology, OT West, and OPEX Steel Processing.
  • Supervision of QC department personnel, quality and duties performed.
  • New/trial rod materials evaluation and follow up.
  • Customer complaints technical support and handling.
  • Material failure analysis to all aspects of rod, wire and finished parts.
  • Production technical support regarding material selection, problem solving, heat treatment practice, HD, and others.
  • Management Representative of ISO Quality System.
  • Monitor all internal systems for accuracy and compliance with company rules, standards, expectations, and applicable laws.
  • Controls significant manufacturing projects, plans and schedules facility assignments, and sets priorities.
  • Identifies opportunities that best utilize the location’s infrastructure and meet customer requirements.
  • Supports Sales and cross-functional teams to proactively develop product and service solutions.
  • Resolves problems by adjusting priorities, schedules and reassignment of workforce when necessary.
  • Control obsolete and excess inventory, provide inventory models to maintain inventory effectively and accurately.
  • Monitors corrective actions to ensure the location is improving efficiency, service, profits by analyzing and enhancing those actions.
  • Confirms the location(s) is meeting contractual obligations to the customer.
  • Ensures sufficient capacity is available within the location to carry out the objectives and delivery of products.
  • Reviews all internal and external reporting.
  • Assist in location’s financial and budget activities in order to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
  • Analyzes technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Analyzes operations to evaluate performance of the location(s) and its staff in meeting objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction or program improvement.
  • Participates and encourages participation in the Continuous Quality Improvement process.
  • Knows and understands all company policies.
  • Motivates, outlines and delegates methods to surpass all company goals.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in a metallurgy discipline or related field or equivalent experience of years in Heat Treatment of steel wire and Wire Drawing.
  • Strong background in steel characterization and strong skills of material failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality System.
  • Familiarity at ASTM Standards and others.
  • Must be familiar at Statistic techniques.
  • Requires integrity, independent action, originality, evaluation, and judgment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present information one-on-one, or in small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Solid computer skills and data manipulation (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, Power Point, JD Edwards).
  • Must be of an analytical mindset and be able to quickly assess large amounts of information and data.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of product and production processes.
  • Must possess all other qualities critical for managerial success including leadership, self-confidence, motivation, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and determination.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information and/or records.

Starting from USD $75,000.00/Yr.
