Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Operations Leader to oversee our HR systems and payroll functions. Reporting directly to the SVP of HR, the HR Operations Leader will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of all HR systems and payroll processes.  This individual will focus on identifying opportunities for improvement, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices to optimize HR processes and systems and support the achievement of overall HSM and HR business objectives.  This is an in-office position, based out of Hickory or Huntersville, NC.

 

Please note that HSM does not offer relocation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of HR systems administration, including implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) platforms.
  • Oversee the payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees, including data entry, validation, and reconciliation of payroll records.
  • Develop and implement standardized HR processes and procedures to streamline operations and enhance efficiency, with a focus on optimizing the end-user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system enhancement opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR team members on HR systems usage, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR systems vendors, managing relationships and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Manage system integrations with other HR and business systems, ensuring data integrity and seamless data flow.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of HRIS data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes related to HR systems, payroll, and data privacy, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing system integrations and data migration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures, with a focus on HR operations and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a high performing team
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
