Quality Lab Tech- 1st Shift

• Perform visual inspections and use various testing equipment and tools to assess product dimensions, functionality, and performance.
• Record and document inspection and test results accurately, maintaining detailed quality control records and reports.
• Identify and document any product defects, non-conformities, or deviations from quality standards, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to address quality issues and implement process improvements.
• Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of quality control procedures, work instructions, and inspection checklists.
• Participate in the evaluation and calibration of testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
• Support the investigation of customer complaints related to product quality, providing data and analysis as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety awareness.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in quality control or a related field are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Quality Lab Technician or in a similar quality lab role, in a manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Knowledge of quality lab techniques, testing methods, and inspection procedures.
• Must be able to use tape measures and calipers. 
• Familiarity with ISO certification standards and quality management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing inspections and documenting results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, i.e. Excel. 
• Proficiency in using testing equipment, measurement tools, and data analysis software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving abilities to identify and address quality issues promptly and efficiently. 
• Ability to read and interpret part prints including CAD models.
• Knowledge of ASTM Lab testing standards preferred.
• Experience in lab setting preferred.
