Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer at HSM, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes and machinery. You will be responsible for enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our production environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for improving cycle time, controlling scrap, and sustaining and improving equipment conditions. 

 

The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on process optimization and machine efficiency.

HSM specializes through its subsidiaries, in the manufacturing of components for furniture, bedding, transportation, packaging, automotive, and healthcare industries. We also design and construct automated production machinery for these industries. Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  2. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production workflows and minimize waste.
  3. Design, develop, and implement innovative solutions to enhance machine efficiency and overall manufacturing performance.
  4. Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed process improvements and automation projects.
  5. Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving production issues related to machinery and processes.
  6. Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement best practices in manufacturing engineering.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  2. 3-5 years of proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and automation.
  4. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  5. Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
